Learning activities and teaching methods:
The compulsory four-term English course consists of a block of four consecutive terms. It is not possible to interrupt wilfully one s study and consequently plead for alternative ways of acquiring the missing credit during a term when the particular course is not taught. If students interrupt their study without having acceptable reasons, they are not entitled to sign up for the course till the term comes when this course is taught.

Credits are acquired in logical succession - credits from a higher term cannot be acquired before acquiring a credit from the preceding term.

In each term the language course is accompanied by three self-study batches, which serve for practising and consolidating of the new language. Doing the batches is recommended; the language contained in the batches (and units 7-9 of the student s book and workbook International Express Pre - Intermediate) is examined in the end-of-term test. Students of the combined form of study do three sets of exercises (course requirements) and send them in through the school website to their lecturers to be corrected by stated dates. They correct them and either acknowledge them to be completed or return them to the students to correct the mistakes.

Students who do all the three batches in time must get at least 60 % grades in the end-of-term test.

Students who decide not to do the batches must get at least 80 % grades in the end-of-term test.
